The Swiss IT leader, ELCA moves into new office space with Oficea

5,000m² of office space have been booked to date at Les Fascines with the official opening scheduled for the first half of 2022! This brand new office building has already established itself as a prestigious address in the heart of Moka Smart City. It enjoys a prime location at Vivéa, a business park with an innovative concept combining an exceptional setting with state-of-the-art technology. 

Oficea is delighted to have ELCA among its tenants. This leading independent Swiss provider of IT solutions is the first tenant to have signed for 1,734m² of office space at Les Fascines. The Director of ELCA Mauritius, Olivier Hecq tells us about the reasons behind this decision.

Why did ELCA choose Moka Smart City? 

We were looking for an office rental solution to support our current and future growth. One option was to explore possibilities outside Ebene, where we are currently located. The area is saturated and the infrastructure and services are struggling to keep up with the pace. Moka was the first choice because of its central location within the country. Compared to Ebene, it is the business destination with the lowest impact on travel time, ensuring a “smooth” transition for our employees. 

What did you especially like about Vivéa Business Park? 

The first point is undoubtedly the work environment, including the space, the greenery, the low-rise buildings and the peaceful character. This plays a key role in providing our employees with a great place to live and work. 

The second point relates to the infrastructure and services available. We will be able to continue our “parking for all” policy and will have ample room for large team meetings, a nursery for children, food services and a sports centre accessible within 5 minutes. This ability to offer European-standard infrastructure and services will improve our attractiveness and allow us to retain our talent by providing them with the best environment for their professional development. 

Did an environmental certification like the LEED green building label influence ELCA’s decision to move to Les Fascines? 

We generally value the construction quality of our buildings. Care for the environment is also an important aspect of a long-term investment. On the one hand, it demonstrates ELCA’s commitment to society and the environment to both our clients and employees. On the other hand, what may presently seem like a luxury or a “nice to have” will be an obligation within a few years. By committing ourselves to this today, we are preparing for the future.
